Session length depends on your goals. A 60-minute massage is great for targeting one or two areas of concern, while a 90-minute session allows for a full-body treatment with more focused attention. If it’s your first visit or you’re dealing with chronic tension, 90 minutes is often recommended.
Your therapist will begin with a brief consultation to discuss any areas of concern, health conditions, or preferences. You’ll then have privacy to undress to your comfort level and lie on a padded table covered with a sheet. The therapist will only undrape the area being worked on, ensuring your modesty is maintained throughout.
It depends on your needs. For general relaxation and stress relief, once a month works well for most people. If you’re managing chronic pain, muscle tension, or recovering from an injury, weekly or bi-weekly sessions may be more beneficial. Your therapist can recommend a schedule tailored to your goals.
Swedish massage uses long, flowing strokes at light to medium pressure — ideal for relaxation and stress reduction. Deep tissue massage targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue using slower, more intense pressure, making it better suited for chronic pain, tight muscles, and injury recovery. Both can be customized to your comfort level.
That’s entirely up to you. Some clients prefer silence to fully relax, while others enjoy light conversation. The most important thing is to speak up if the pressure is too much or too little, if you’re uncomfortable, or if you’d like attention shifted to a specific area. Your therapist’s priority is your comfort and satisfaction.
